BJP demands NIA probe into Talib Shah's terror links

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) demanded National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into Talib Shah's terror links in a press conference addressed by party's Jammu & Kashmir President Ravinder Raina.

Talib Hussain, a LeT terrorist & his accomplice, Faizal Ahmed Dar used to visit the BJP office pretending to be a journalist. Would attend press conferences as reporters inside BJP offices & even at political rallies, said Ravinder Raina.

Former Dy. CM J&K Kavinder Gupta and BJP Secretary Arvind Gupta also accompanied him during the Press Conference addressed at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

"Talib's phone has shown photos and videos, which are disturbing. It seems that Talib recced our BJP J&K HQ office & even sent them to people across LoC to LeT. Security agencies are investigating the whole thing and can soon reveal some big links" said Raina.

Ravinder Raina said that the common villagers from Gulabgarh have averted a major terrorist activity by nabbing these 2 terrorists namely Talib Hussain and Fayaz Ahmad Dar. He appreciated local people and J&K Police for the act of bravery.

“Talib Hussain used to visit BJP office in the garb of journalist and used to cover party's press conferences, political rallies and other programmes,” Raina said and added that their mobiles contained significantly harmful material in form of photos and videos.

Stating that top J&K BJP leaders and office-bearers were on Talib Hussain’s hit-list, Raina has sought a probe by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in this matter.

“Talib Hussain did recce of my office. He sent videos of my office to his Pakistani handlers. He used to meet BJP leaders by posing as a journalist. We demand a NIA probe,” he said.

He said that he has himself received threat calls and letters many times earlier by terrorists from across the borders.

Raina said, "Posing as media personnel, Talib Hussain used to have access to every programme and send the details to his Pakistani counterparts. He also clicked photos with the political leadership pretending to be from the media fraternity".

Raina said, "This confirms the modified game plan of terrorists. Understanding the gravity of the matter, the party appeals to the honourable LG of J&K Sh. Manoj Sinha to ask for a NIA probe into the matter to find out such more black sheep and their links. This is necessary to fail the nefarious designs of these terror organizations."

"They (terrorists) don't have guts to face our brave security forces and hence they have changed their modus operandi. So this whole terror link must be thoroughly probed by NIA" said Raina.

Raina also said the party has issued a show cause notice to Minority Morcha President Sheikh Bashir and asked him to reply within 48 hours. “He [Bashir]doesn't have the authority to make any appointment. Every appointment in the party is made by the President,” the BJP leader said.
